Comparing SFS_CODE to Coalescent and Poisson Random Field Expectations
Comparing SFS_CODE to Coalescent and Poisson Random Field Expectations
SFS_CODE has been extensively tested using a variety of techniques. For models without natural selection, I generally use coalescent simulations as a reference. For models with natural selection, I generally increase the recombination rate and use expected patterns of variation under the Poisson Random Field (e.g., Boyko, et al., 2008). Below I present a subset of the comparisons that have been performed. Generally speaking, statistics plotted in blue will correspond to data generated by SFS_CODE, and statistics plotted in red will correspond to the reference data set.
